In this part of the tutorial I show how to apply some basic cast rock structures to the diorama and give you a basic idea of how to apply the base coat of colored paints. More diorama stuff and other projects on my website at:

  • A good way to make water look more realistic while still being cost effective is to crumple up some foil and then uncrumple it and glue it down for the water area. Then spray paint it gray or something and paint it blue with lighter blues on the "wave" edges.

  • @F33RtheB33R Great suggestion! thanks.

  • Hey love your work, but i think that the terrain looks a little too light and lush compared to the movie. the movie seems more desertish. But other than that it looks awesome

  • You are absolutely right about the terrain. Mine is a bit too lush when compared to the movie and to the actual site as it is now.
