The data scrambling feature of the LTC2206 A/D converter used in the Perseus receiver provide a simple mean to avoid that the coupling from the A/D output bus to the ADC analog input may increase the level of intermodulation products or other spurs.
As shown in the movie, when the LTC2206 data scrambing feature is used, the power spectral density of the ADC output lines has no dominant spectral line and resembles just a a wideband noise which cannot be a source of intermodulation products.
