I have been looking at this pistol and the thought came to me that depending on the price of the fire control group I could end up with 2 pistols for under $1000. That in and of itself is pretty attractive. One for the wife to keep in her purse and one for my hip. How hard is the fire control group to find and what does it cost?

I do not know. However, you can also get a pair of Ruger SR9 or 9c pistols for that price,or a couple of S&W SD9s.

nice review! btw this is not a sig, its a sig sauer, sig is a swiss gun manufacturer, sauer a german company that mostly produces hunting rifles, for some reason they work together on these pistols, so just calling them sigs isnt correct. but sig has also their own line of pistols, i.e. the sig p 210. some of the new sig sauer models are also made in the USA, the p250 ist one of these.

Calling them a Sig is correct, just as calling a Sturm, Ruger & Company firearm a Ruger is correct.

And make you depend on some police officer that who knows when will show up....Not me I will be dead before anyone gets close to my family. I live in Maine we have really no home invasions. People know better we all have guns and know how to use them. Someone steps into my home univited and to do harm they can plan on a double tap from my Glock!

Great review..The trigger control unit is available under 300 from Gander.I bought the 357.The twosum is in 40.
