I recorded this on September 17. 2006 on Cartoon Network Spain. It's a long CN City bumper airing at 6 in the morning. The CN city is waking up and you can see all the places showed in various bumpers with cartoon characters only they are empty cause it's so early. It also has nice morning sounds and it's great to watch.

After it there's an intro to Cartoon Network.

This look was the best CN had ever since the checkerboard era. I hear it's gone in the US but here in Europe it's still used, thank God.

Enjoy!

EDIT: Sadly not long after I put this video CN Europe also changed to a terrible new look.

  • back when they actually cared what was on their network....

  • 1) I loved this look for CN! Too bad it's in the garbage.

    2) Tied shoes on a streetlight? The Ed's came up with lots of scams, but

sellin' drugs probably wasn't one of them.

and #3) Had an idea for a detective story involving this look (like a modern-day "Roger Rabbit").

  • I don't think it's the CN company that's "wants" to program to change. I'm hearing that it is Stuart Snyder, the new president of CN, that is ruining everything. So in my personal opinion, he destroyed Cartoon Network City, making cartoon characters in the past to forcibly move on and not returning. We need to do something to bring back these "golden years of Cartoon Network"... perminently( If I spelled that right).

  • This was beautiful.

  • Who doesnt miss the old shows !! Is there anything we can do to bring them back

  • Have you guys ever heard the expression, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?

That's an expression I use a lot when thinking back to how kid's channels used to be.

They didn't need changing, or "improving". Just keep the same shows and the same format. There's NOTHING wrong with it!

  • man cartoon network today is a peice of shit
