Manikaran is about 30 KM from Buntar which has connectivity through road/air. the place has Sikh Gurdwara and temples. It has hot springs which is active even in winter with snow peaked mountains. The sulphur (gandhakam) is good for skin diseases and hence taking bath in this spring is believed to be having curing value. As traditionally "being simple", Sikhs do the chores at their Gurudwara, and even rich, famous and poor are doing them along. There is a community kitchen (langaar) which uses the hot spring to boil the vegetables for preparation of food. It is run by a trust and has accomodation facility also. I have taken this in 2009 May. The Sikh prayer , I believe, EkOnkar from Rangde Basanti.
