Gene Conrad, vice president for marketing, Branson Airport explains how the U.S.'s first privately owned commercial airport will serve the burgeoning tourism market in Branson Missouri.
@andrewlearmonth23 Disney has been trying to buy out Steal you're dollar city for years, and yes Disney does own some land down there, I worked there during the construction.
It's brilliant. The closest airport is 2 hrs away in Springfield. Land costs nothing there - couple thousand an acre. Taxes are low. And you can bet that every entertainer and developer is invested in this thing. It doesn't matter to them as much how the airport itself makes. It's bringing the wave of aging, retiring baby boomers there.
Have you guys got that sinking runway fixed yet? It would be pretty neat having the only airport in the world with cave tours!
Is it true that there are no boarding hallways? You actually have to go outside in the rain and snow to get on or off the airplane? What is there some little truck with stairs on it?
good work, nice

Another great Branson boondoggle - just like the story that circulated for years that Disney was coming (and going...)
