Aries Christian Villarosa Sarmiento, 13 years old, diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma B Cell Type, cancer of the lympathic system last November 12, 2010. His cancer has already progressed to advanced stage recently and needed medication and chemotherapy the soonest possible time. Initially, he underwent dialysis, surgery, chemotherapy, and is frequently in and out of the hospital since his diagnosis.
His doctors advised him to undergo Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in the thoracic region to find out the cause of the excruciating pain he suffers. He also has to undergo chemotherapy with initial treatment protocol for two sessions. The cost of medicines alone for his initial chemotherapy amounts to P212,941.10. Not to mention, the daily medicines he has to take and several laboratory test needed from time to time.
Despite the illness, he qualified for scholarship at Paco Catholic School. Sadly though, he may have to defer schooling to facilitate his medication and chemotherapy. Aries is currently confined at the Philippine Children's Medical Hospital. His face is swollen and is fed thru NGT. He cannot walk and move his lower limbs because of the excruciating pain he is suffering. He is also waiting for his chemotherapy to be done the soonest possible time.
