I like , that he kept silent. Cause what could he have to say? I often took this scene as an example for my own life. Sometimes , silence really is golden. Life is not brutal nor savage, we choose what to do in our life, try to see the bright side of things (^^,) we have our ups and downs, but things will get better. If you are atheist then good for you, let people who aren't mind their own business, if religion makes them happy then its their choice.
@ApprenticeOfAnubis for the weak? Such a nazi thinking. Religion always existed and will continue to exist. People believe in what they want, some just need some help wich they can get it from parents, teachers, friends, psychologists and priests. Those who tried to destroy religion got the opposite effect: romans, Communists and fascists destroyed churches and oppresed believers, then after a few decades there empires and faiths felled
@ApprenticeOfAnubis Religion makes part of culture, tradinion and the nation, religions teach people about love, kindness, respect for others, wile atheists like Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Kim ir Sung, Kim Jong Il, killed millions of innocent poeple,
@drei345 do you want it in another language? Has the Kundun DVD movie made diffrent languages yet? It'll be nice if it was in french, spannish, chinese or even tibetan.
this explains why he would love to go home but cannot, after all the interviews I see it here in this cinema version. Martin Booth's book Opium gives the story.
