[From "Kovacs Corner" on YouTube.com] - From the first season of their 1952 - 1954 half hour syndicated program "The Abbott & Costello Show", here is a classic vaudeville sketch that Bud & Lou preformed many times in their movies and on television. Referred to as "The Lemon Bit", it's based on a street con artist's shell game, but instead of a hidden pea the object is a lemon. It was first used in their movie "In the Navy", where the game is referred as "Find the Submarine". The money changing part of this sketch was used in their first feature film "One Night in the Tropics" where Bud plays a croupier at a dice table. Performing as one of the this game's patsies is their on-screen landlord Sid Fields. The sketch was part of the half hour episode entitled "The Charity Bazaar". BTW, using an inflation calculator, $10.00 back in 1952 has the buying power equal to $82.33 today. Those are pretty high stakes for a couple of guys who are always broke!

Imagine if Costello, Mr. Fields, and Hillary each played together and picked a different cup.
