Jason talking about the air canada ordeal on cbc news. what they failed to mention in the segment is how it was not a "lengthy delay" that had us upset, it's the fact that we almost died. everyone on the plane that night believed we were gonna crash, from the passengers to the stewards to the plain clothes pilot and mechanic on board.
when we landed safely in montreal, they were already covering up what happened. they were in print saying there was no fire-there was- and all they continually call the ordeal was an "unsettling situation"
Myself along with half a dozen passengers have written to them numerous times explaining what happened and that we only received a $100 voucher for all the troubles (expires in a year). After a registered letter whent unanswered, followed by an email from me, they gave us a 20% discount off the base fare of a flight (that was offered to all subscribers of their newsletter three days later) as "good-will compensation" Another letter i sent was answered with, we don't have to contractually do anythig for you" be happy for the 20% off.
there has NEVER been any mention of the out-of-pocket expenses being reimbursed. that is an outright lie from air canada. I have all the letters I sent and received. they are all on my facebook page and have been since it happened.
