This machine came Highly Commended in the Farmers Weekly inventions competition. This prototype is mounted on a Isuzu Grafter chassis cab, was built autumn 2010 to replace my trailed machine. Power comes from four 12v 95 amp AGM batteries that run a hydraulic motor pump that was destined for a Chieftain tank. The batteries also run an inverter powering lights, tools, hotbox etc. There is no front door to the crush, only the yoke, so cattle walk in easily. The animal is supported by the side of the machine that pivots in, so it is supported all along it's body. this also means it can cope with the smallest Dexter cow to the largest Charolais bull. Having it's only power means I can set up quickly in remote fields and yards. I start in a few days on mark two, a trailer version.......
