I recently watched the debut episode of the Showtime series "The Big C" and I wasn't sure if I liked the show. Then, as the credits were rolling, this song began to play. I decided that I LOVED this show. Any television show that is smart enough to include a Sam Cooke song, is pretty smart.

Thank you for uploading this. As a man in my twenties, I sometimes feel like I'm alone in my love for these amazing classics. Turn on my ipod and it's filled with Sam Cook.

Thumbs up if you also wish you could have seen Sam Cooke live...

@avinaash13 im sorry but please dont ever compare the great sam cooke to some modern day artist. im not tryin to sound hostile right now so sorry

And I think he did this as a tribute to his minister father, who he deeply respected. According to Sam's brother, the song was a showpiece for the Rev. Cook when Sam was growing up - this time Sam's ministry was allowed to shine. What a loss that we couldn't have had an entire concert of this, by the mature Cooke.

What a jewel. Only Sam could take one of the oldest gospel songs ever, totally make it sound completely his own, definitively; and in the process get an upscale white nightclub audience to sing along with him on it. A true giant soul master; we won't see his likes again.

Seriously, who could dislike this????

@avinaash13 You mean Bruno Mars may have a resemblance to him.

HE LOOKS LIKE BRUNO MARS!!
Very, very cool...man, I was 2 when he was doing this! No matter what he sings, it's so...smooth!
