This is a documentary produced by the Globalization group in Skidmore College's Hip Hop Culture Class.

In this film, students from Skidmore College share their experiences with Rap music in their home countries or countries they visited.

The people interviewed in this film are from or have study aboard in various places including...
Nigeria, Africa
Afghanistan
Swaziland, Africa
Republic of Guinea, Africa
London, United Kingdom
Kenya, Africa
Croatia
China
Argentina
Sierra Leone, Africa

We thank everyone who were interviewed. Without them, this would not have been possible.

Note: We are sorry for the various mistakes in the film. We had to rush it for a final project. We wanted to do so much more with it.

  • black cutlure? wtf. if you wanna see black culture, go to africa. There you'll get black culture, not this stuff that was engineered in the US.

  • Why are people tripping about hip hop going global? if people are embracing it, that means they are embracing aspects of Black culture. It's a beautiful thing! I'm Black, by the way.

  • @ScholaroftheDay21 and you need to get a grip on your attitude! Is that "AND" enough for you?

  • @lovecritters10 and?

  • @ScholaroftheDay21 I'm African-American and what you said was hateful and racist!

  • HIP HOP IS BLACK CULTURE!!! all of these cultures are TRYING TO BE LIKE US WHICH IS FLATTERING, BUT REMEMBER WE DONT LIKE YOU. KEEP YOU FUCKING DISTANCE.

  • In Asia, if there is one established hip-hop scene it's not Japan, its The Philippines.

  • Hip Hop is Black music/culture. This "Global" mess is just all on the premise of others trying to be apart of it.

  • Sayed from Afgahnistan speaks of the Hip Hop Culture and the MC in a very condescending

Manner I wish he was not included if her does not respect the culture and IMO it is obvious that he does not.
