This montage pays honor to Golden Retrievers who lost their battles to cancer. Learn more about becoming Cancer AWARE at http://cancer.landofpuregold.com

The music is by Livingston Taylor, a Golden lover from way back who you can learn about at http://landofpuregold.com/famous6.htm

Here are the words to a most fitting song for this tribute:

I believe in actual
In the clear concise and the factual
All of life has reason
And it should be clear to see
But when the crowds all drift away
And we are apart for one more day
In the most peculiar places
You're where you should not be

There you are again
In the rustling leaves of a summer storm
In my favorite chair all safe and warm
In a wish that a child believes

There you are again
When light returns to the morning sky
When two lovers cannot say good-bye
When a movie makes me cry
When the perfect story ends
There you are again

Will I ever get over the feel of your touch
The sound of your voice the scent of your hair
Your quiet reminder to not be afraid
When you promised to find me somewhere

There you are again
Till I forget to close the door
And the heartache's in and I'm damned I'm sure
To each day miss you more
When I think I can't endure
There's a whisper in the wind
There you are again

  • Seeing this video makes me so sad that all these beautiful souls were lost to cancer. We still miss our Bob Gates every single day and he's been gone more than a year. It hurts so much. I wish every kind of cancer would disappear.

  • @cbolvera Cheryl, it is horrible. I still am not over Darcy's death and it has been several years now. Do not feel bad that you are still missing your guy so much.

  • We put our golden retriever Bear down 11 days ago he had hip displaysia and he couldn't get up and he was peeing himself all of our family was there when the vet put him to sleep i still keep looking for him and then i realize he isn't there. The vet who is a very stoic man who never gives complements said that we were very privelaged to have a dog like Bear. He saved my brother from getting bit by a baby rattlesnake he jumped infront of him he didn't die. Hewas the most empathetic dog ever

  • @KATIEnew04 Katie, I am so very sorry for your loss. He sounds like he was one incredible guy. These Golden souls are just such a positive influence so it is always so sad when they leave our sides.

  • we had Jack for a short time.got him from a friend.about 6-8 month's go by,we see a sore on his front leg.come to find out it's cancer. We chose to give him a fighting chance and got leg removed. he did so well for @ 4 month's.like he was born with 3 legs.seizures started, got worse.cancer had spread before he lost his leg.of course we did the right thing.I laid next to him and told him thank you for the time he had given us as he drifted off. think of Jack often.thanks for video!!

  • My heart aches for you and your family. I am sure Jack appreciated how much love you all showered on him.

  • We lost our dear Golden on Thanksgiving. Maggie was pure love and she taught us the true meaning of love. How do you say goodbye to the love of your life? The hardest thing we ever had to do was to let her go but we know she no longer suffers. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to stay with her during her last moments although it was a shock and so sudden. My heart is heavy and it is one of the worst pains... Oh how we loved her. There is not a day that goes by that I do not cry for her.

  • Ok, i keep crying... I just believe my dog is not there physically, but he will always be somewhere near me... as long as I don't forget about him, and i never will cause our bond was really special...

  • This video is so sad. I wish our pets " times" would never come. I love my dog Angel and I hope she will live as long as possible and then go to heaven and live there forever

  • i don't belive in God but i want to go to the place the souls of my best friends go. i miss them so much.

  • We lost our golden retriever Courage this past March and there are times when I just start crying. They are truly the most loving dogs in the world! I will see you again soon pups!!!

  • I've said it before, you can always get another dog, but you can never, ever replace one. They are all special in their own way. Each one is something that can never be duplicated. I've lost too many dogs in my life and still remember each one for the joy, the pure joy, they brought to my family. We've lost our golden 1 1/2 years ago and still can not forget him. He was so special.

    RIP my Rio.

  • I often contemplate and think of those "affected" or "experiencing" cancer in their lives...families....inclusive of our special family additions...our Golden Retrievers.....I too have been affected by both my dad from Cancer and I have a Golden presently that is 9 years old that had cancer when he was 2.....I never lose hope....and I certainly feel the pain of any loss because of Cancer...Participate in both cancer awareness....and supporting a cure.....Namaste

  • OMG I CANT WATCH ANY MORE IM GOING TO DIE THESE PUPS R SOOO CUTE Y DID THEY HAVE TO GO THROUGH SOMTHING SO HORRIBLE THEIR INISENT LITTLE FACES CRUSH MY HEART TO KNOW THEY SUFFERD AND PASSED

    :( GOD BELSS THEM
