Part 1 of 4. This is the complete service, in four parts, of the Pernell Roberts Memorial Service held in Waycross, Georgia, on August 21, 2010. Waycross is Pernell Roberts' hometown. The lady doing the presentation is the organizer of the event, Helen-Anne Coviello.
Pernell Elven Roberts, Jr. (May 18, 1928 -- January 24, 2010) was one of the most underrated performers of our time. He was a stage, movie and television actor, as well as singer. In addition to guest starring in over 60 television series, he was widely known for his role as Ben Cartwright's eldest son, Adam Cartwright, on the western series Bonanza, a role he played from 1959 to 1965 — and as chief surgeon Dr. John McIntyre, the title character on Trapper John, M.D. (1979--1986). He also starred in several movies, including Desire Under the Elms, Ride Lonesome, The Sheepman, and Night Train to Kathmandu.
I wish I could get his album. Does any one know how i can get all his good stuff that is not piece together? Let me know. kcgatchell1950@hotmail.com............His voice is well there are no words. Can someone help?

@GooglFascists, I think you're missing the point. A memorial service was held in California right after his death. This service was held to honor him six months later -- in his hometown of Waycross. Waycross is a very small town in Georgia located on the edge of the Okefenokee Swamp. It's where he grew up.
Local and regional friends, family and fans wanted to honor this home-town boy of whose accomplishments they were so proud.

Hate to say it and they're nice people but IS THIS ALL?
Must be absolutely true when they say no matter how big
someone once was in Hollywood they always ask:
"But what have they done LATELY?"
A tiny soiree at the Lion's Club? For that big a star?
I'm sorry but for Pernell Roberts this just isn't enough!

Sure wish the audio was better. Can barely understand what is being said. I am a huge fan and was so angry that there was no news coverage and no mention of him at any of the award shows "in memorium" segments.
