It took me awhile to realize this, but Iannucci has created a modern-day picture of hell (the absence of possibility -- worse than death ....) The apt comparison is is to Dante's Inferno ...

I like this sketch, I think it describes the increasing marginalisation of older people in this country. You see ads from insurance companies like LV, talking about life insurance covers for people nearing 50. 50 for christ sake, people haven't retired by then!
