Russian Lessons, the latest documentary from Andrei Nekrasov [and his wife Olga Konskaya]. A big recommendation to go out and catch it at one of the Film Festivals. I saw it in Rotterdam last year. This particular clip highlights the fall of Abkhazia in 1993.
"The film puts the recent [Georgian-Russian] war in the context of the post-Soviet history which has managed to keep its darkest pages from the international public's attention, despite dozens of relevant UN resolutions and OSCE conventions. At the same time as Milosevic was earning the reputation as the biggest evil in the post-communist world, a perfectly comparable - but perhaps even more cruel - campaign of terror and ethnic cleansing was taking place in parts of Georgia."
Russia out of independent Abkhazia and Ossetia!

Oh Shevardnadze, who started the war? Who invaded Abkhazia? He says "it was ourt biggest mistake" in "Absence of Will" documentary film which can be found on net. In this doc. film Georgian writer Guram Odisharia says "At first the Georgians were better armed. The Russian government gave us a whole tank division. But then they started to arm the Abkhaz too."
Abkhazians did not seek that war, it's imposed on them by Shevardnadze. Watch the "ABSENCE OF WILL"

Putin was right when he brought back the symbol of the Red Star to the Russian Army again. Nothing's changed in their interventions since 1939
