  • Sigh. I miss this dude. I remember these old Showtime episodes. Unlike most of you young folk, I remember him originally from this show than his movies. Then I started seeing him in movies. Oddly, he rarely (if ever) played a "funny" character, mostly scumbags; Street Smart & Carlito's Way are standouts. A shame, he could have been a star in the movies. RIP. And LOVE the Lionel Ritchie impression! "Hello..."

  • So funny and loved him on Showtime. Sad to hear that he passed away so long back now. I too have some old Showtime footage from late 80's and am planning to upload some stuff in the not too distant future. R.I.P Rick Aveles and thank you for making me smile. :)

  • A very funny dude and good actor..RIP bro.

  • @junedeon I miss him too!

  • This is blowing me away. I had no idea he was a comic. He was scary as shit in Ghost. What a talent man.

  • Hollywood tends to miss the opportunity to really support great people whose timing and ability to touch you at your core making life that much more reason to laugh and embrace our common ground at people. Still Missed!! Still missed in deed...
