How about 40-50% believe the earth is 600 years old,45% of the scientific community and 85% of the public believe in an invisible friend in the sky, 1 out 5 high school students cant read, 1 out 4 are diagnosed with mental disorder, 67% don't know the economic system used, 70% don't know almost nothing about the constitution, history, government, 37% can't find the U.S. on the map. Is that enough for you? The list is staggering.

Why do other countries say "Why don't Americans mind their own business?" when we are volunteering to help out in Africa, or places that have had natural disasters. Then they complain that Americans don't pay any attention to whats going on around the world. We pay attention to what's most important to us. The average American cares more about poverty in 3rd. world countries than other cultures and lifestyles, which believe it or not we already know a lot about, it's required in school here.
