If people were to ask me what this video is, stock answer would be: it's a great big "FU" to those who know better & still plead ignorant. But why be that straight forward when I have so many words and metaphors to play with and a little too much (misplaced) fascination and energy to do so...

Above him the sky is white, within him his soul is of soft greys, vibrant blues and acidic reds. The world tries to darken him, to turn him colorblind, harness him, throw him on a course of destruction and scare him away. But he keeps moving, evading and defying. The faster the globe turns, the stronger he attacks with weapons of words and feelings. Electric passion shocks straight to the core; absolution turned inward, you can run from it but you can't hide! ;D

Whether Kyo likes to admit it or not every song is a bundle of political positive and negative charges. Every lyrical statement made, is one person's opposing thought-- obliterated. He wages an attack on objectivity and the norms of society and if you really listen you can hear 'change'... but it sounds sweet only to those who are willing to break down the walls of their mind's and build anew...

I applaud anyone who tries to stare darkness in the face and chase away ignorance. To encourage an intellectual revolution, is to breed enlightenment. It is not an 'attack' in my eyes, but an answer to the haze; rather, an active remedy. Kyo could just stay quiet and let the world slumber and fall deeper into immaturity but he doesn't. He takes things straight on. If his songs are true, what Kyo wants to rectify he cannot face alone. His fight, is our fight. It's time to cease chasing tail and run into the wind, screaming, guns blazing. -ATTACK- The world wont wake up and change itself, after all...

I was hesitant about using something by 30 Seconds To Mars, I anticipated disapproval from Diru fans; seeing as the bands are on different ends of the spectrum. BUT I feel that I'm justified in using it, the lyrics present a deeply rooted problem in a very 'human' way; paralleling a man's struggle with personal relationships to his frustration with his relationship with the world... at least that is how I'm choosing to interpret it in association with this video. ^^;

Diru are not such that they exceed my ability to relate them to a human IDEA. My idea encompassed the song, who sings it or what genre it is is inconsequential. My interpretation of the lyrics & further application to a concept involving Kyo is what mattered to me. I should hope 'attack' is in the man`s vocabulary, as is `freedom of thought, inspiration and discovery` which ties into why I make videos in the first place. I prefer to think and do things of the non-linear kind, you see.

P.s Hope I don`t sound rude, or angry. But am I not justified in having an opinion? I realize 3stm stand for something different than Diru but that doesn't mean on some level they can't connect, it just takes effort of thought. ^^;

I agree, sometimes you need to walk in the dark to see the light. I think this is one of the reasons that entitles Kyo to be called "Prophet". To me, he teaches to stare fear in the face and destroy it and the ignorance that comes with it. His soul is valiant and strong, and he will be immortalized for it. NATAS LIAH

In your text, interesting thoughts arise. I find full of meaning (that is in my eyes - philosophy/morality) in his lyrics, and I see the words as questions rather than answers, but that's just me. Still, time doesn't stand still. We have to take action, man.

Hopefully, more people will follow the hard journey, to wake people up from their sleep.
