In 1966/1967, The Beach Boys recorded, in several sessions, a bounty of songs and drafts for an album, SMiLE, that was intended to follow the band's 1966 masterpiece, Pet Sounds. The sessions were ultimately shelved, and The Beach Boys' SMiLE has never been officially released. Finally, after years of waiting, Capitol/EMI has collected and compiled the definitive collection, 'The SMiLE Sessions,' for worldwide release this year. As part of the promotional efforts, Capitol has turned to the Tongal community to source Music Videos for the two Beach Boys classics, "Good Vibrations" and "Heroes and Villains."
This is one of the winners in the 2011 Tongal Beach Boys Smile Sessions contest. Starring Ryan Droege, Sara Bakay, Tim Roberts, and Justin Hannah. Cinematography, editing, and visual effects by Travis Taylor. Conceived and directed by Justin Hannah.
"Good Vibrations" used by permission of Tongal and Capitol Records.
Fantastic song. However, this video reminds me of a Hollister ad, or something. Well done, but off target. More justice could've been done in terms of crafting a suitable accompaniment to the sounds of Brian's sweetly warped brain-baby.

@ThePolleyPocket - thanks for taking the time to watch the video. As a Beach Boys/BW fan, I actually agree with a lot of what you said, but we did the best we could with the video in the time allotted (approx. 4 weeks). Thanks again.

Great! You added that psychedelic vibe that a video for this song needs. This is where I would have gone with the video if I had made one myself. Oh and one more thing....at 0:53, DENNIS?! Ha ha.

@MattHatter - Haha! Yeah, his performance was "inspired" by Dennis! Thanks for the kind words, Matt!
