I quit after smoking for 15 years about two months ago now. It really does get easier hey, though in the beginning I thought it would kill me NOT smoking. I remember like a few weeks after I quit thinking...I like not smelling like cigarettes anymore. I like my hands not smelling like cigarettes anymore. It does get easier hey, just got to hold out . I still get cravings but the diff is now they dont bother me so much. I enjoy not having to worry about taking cigs with me everywhere.

Yes, 23 years is a long time. I've smoked for 50 years. Yes, 50! 1/2 century! I'm now on Day 4 and feeling very sad. I don't remember when I didn't smoke. I was part of me. I know this is what I need to do, but I don't need to be happy about it. Yes, I'm happy I'm not smoking, but I'm also sad that I can't smoke. I'm rammbling. Congratulations on your Quit.

Don't be sad. The reward is NOT smoking. Try to remember that.
