  • well yes it is a deadly disease no one seem to understand that alot of women have had painful pasts like me when i was only 6 yrs old i was raped by my cousin 10 times he was 18 yrs old that time thats why i am Anorexic to forget the pain

  • @trivvie2004

    :-(

I completely understand, but you must try to get out of the anorexic path....

  • I'm sick of people saying "anorexic people are dumb, just eat something". It's just not that simple, anorexic people are sick, very sick in fact and I think the dismissive way in which people react to it is DANGEROUS. Anorexia is a FEAR of gaining weight, this means that you are AFRAID to eat, or even have food near you. This isn't the same thing as attention seeking, this is a SEVERE mental disorder. Let me add, I am not anorexic by any means, but I am proud to understand.

    Well said, well said!!!!

  • The society 'bombards' us with the idea "BE SEXY" and "BE PRETTY", not "BE THIN", and its not "..or be nobody", its actually "..or you won't have a love life".

People are stupid if they lock themselves in this suicidal little world of theirs "I will loose ALL my body fat and die, then i'll be finally loved -OOPS IM ALREADY DEAD".

If you don't understand what weight is optimal for you, ask an endocrinologist.

  • @uuamenator

Ummm, an endochrinologist measures hormone balance, not anything else....

  • anorexia is a mental illness its rarely developed from the media its a mental illness!. oh by the way I hope you realise that half of those picture you put up well i reckon 95% of thoses pictures are all photo shopped .There is actually a video on here with those pictures just how fake they are I think its called fake vs real something like that just to let you know. x

  • Guys stop all the dirty coments..this us serious and sad

  • They need to gain weight. :/

  • What if you are a model and that's what is expected of u what then?

  • Ditte.... were some of those pictures you?

  • No problem, kinda felt the need to set people straight since I get really irritated when people tell other people how they SHOULD feel and how they SHOULD act in a certain situation when they have nothing whatsoever to qualify them to do so. No one can ever know your life in full, that is unless you tell it. Even then there are some things that many people don't seem to grasp the complexity of. I suppose they'd rather be smug than right. Go figure right?

  • I too am an "in remission" sufferer of AN, and I applaud your bravery in this video. It was very well made and informative-I am so tired of the negative stigma attached to this illness, it is no surprise to me that so many are dying when it is shamed to be suffering and you can't get support from friends/family/ect who refuse to understand. The one person who understands-my fiancee-could be the reason I'm still alive, and so many more could be saved if only tolerance could be taught about this.

Thank you for this comment, it is so rare to see nonsufferers who understand what we are going through on a day to day basis. I only have one person in my life that I talk about my feelings with in regards to this because of the negativity I've received from everyone, it is such a sorely mistaken illness and the world needs more people like you and my fiancee who are in some cases, such as mine, the only reason some of us can keep ourselves "in remission".

  • Well, a dietologist? i don't really know the exact specialization of the doctor that knows how to eat healthily.

  • Are you ok with coping with stress that way? or would you rather put your past behind you? Go see a psychologist.
