Hi Robert, I am really depressed these days and whenever I tap, I feel better, but after some time, again I go back into depression. I know the reason for this but I cannot seem to forget the reason. I have done all the tapping affirmations that I can think of, but it doesn't seem to work. Since two weeks, I have terrible pain in my neck and shoulders and because of this, I cannot sleep well. Each day I wake up with lot of pain in my neck. Please can you help. Thanks.

I suggest tapping the reason away and forgiving those involved and stop tormenting yourself with depression. It will not fix anything but destroy you and supporting the reason. You reason and the emotions will work havoc in your life and your body so let it go! Peace Robert

Are you suggesting that the mind is an immaterial thing that exists outside of the physical body? Is there any peer reviewed research supporting this position? In short can you explain where you think mental events come from and what is your evidence for this opinion?

wow. I can't stress enough how interesting this is. I totally agree with you robert! I first learned about "the placebo" effect and started thinking..omg..it's everywhere. When we read a traditional book about cancer for instance it says..There is no cure for cancer. And we believe it, so it becomes true. And yet, when someone in alternative medicine believes it will heal them, it does! Because they believe! The power of the mind and emotion/belief is soooo much more than we ever imagined!

I WAS a really big Penn & Teller B.S. fan. But never saw eye to eye w/ them on issues of the mind's ability. It's funny how on their episode on Hypnosis they claim it's fake -- Saying it was a placebo effect in essence. But later in the episode when a woman uses hypnosis and starts crying when she releases her emotional pain, then they say "this is real". Hypocrites.

Anyway, nice point of view. Great stuff. Excellent re-framing.
