Chicago teacher on tax hike: "Give up the bucks!"

A Tax Hike rally was held at the Illinois State Capitol Wednesday, April 21, 2010 to promote legislation which would raise the income tax. SEIU, IEA, IFT, AFSCME, AFL-CIO and other tax eaters participated. One Chicago Teachers Union member told us her true feelings about the situation.

One we lost alot of jobs tax revenue down, no more to raise on the private sector,since they the ones who pay it,. two public unions draw from those taxes and pay into them,but because they get their paychecks there,does nothing to raise the revenue.

Typical, Unions and democrats have the same idea throw money at loosing schools. How about get rid of the unions, fire the teachers that don't cut it,and raise the school standards. Then give them a raise if they deserve it. Oh right democrats don't like comman sense ideas. Just soak it to the taxpayers.

@ZeMaschinenmensch Socialism: using the power of the State to take resources from productive people and give them to nonproductive people. e.g. 'from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.'

For government unions, that is pretty much their mission statement. US 'liberals' tend to favor such policies because their main supporters are various kinds of victim groups who are stupid enough to think that getting resources in this way is a sustainable way of life.
