One of the hovercraft, an amphibious landing craft and two of the fast patrol boats were sent up river in the afternoon. The hovercraft crashed into Blackfriars Bridge at about 1440h and tore a large hole in the starboard side of its skirt, putting it out of action and causing it to drift toward the Millennium Bridge. The fast boats had to nudge it back to Bulwark as it couldn't steer. The pilot got a good bollocking from the CO. Will post pix I took on Flickr soon.
