Sounds tight!

You should sell the axe and buy a PS3 imo...

VHT is now Fryette. You buy a Fryette 2/50/2, you're getting the exact same product as a VHT 2/50/2

@nellings6 If you're looking for one brand new you can try The Axe Palace.

how do you run this live? one output to PA and the other one to poweramp cab? then you can't have cab and tubesim on? or what do you mean by axe fx then poweramp cab and then PA?

@flairfan101 I purchased the Axe and ended up sending it back. It is good for effects, but it will not replace your ideal "real" amp. If you played the Bogner and you love it, buy it. I would also suggest the Diezel Herbert. I own the Herbert and think it is the most brutal amp. Find a used Herbert for about $2800 to $3200 depending on condition and year. You WILL NOT regret buying a Herbert if you tend to play mostly metal.
i bought a case today and i am wondering if the 4 front screws are enough to fix the power amp, oder did you stabilize it in the back?

@circleofpit 4 front screws in any rack 4 space case is fine, the weight balances it self.

Aside from the power difference (if you eliminate the costs to make it a fair competition) why would somebody choose the 2-50-2 opposed to the 2-90-2?
Just curious as I'm going to be buying one of them soon.. The 300 dollar or so difference isn't a big deal to me, but I noticed (or heard and read) that Alexi Laiho uses the 2-50-2 and I haven't heard of anybody using the 2-90-2. Wouldn't more power be better, especially for great heavy metal sounds and not getting muddy at louder volumes?

@mgdth502 Well the 2/50/2 has el34 witch is pretty bright and cuts though and on top of that its loud without having to mic it i've never tried the 2/90/2 so i can't give a description on it. In all live purposes that Ive used the 2/50/2 it sounds amazing at low and high volumes
