Tölzer Knabenchor: La Carità di G.A.Rossini

I recently spotted a fragment of this excellent rendition here on u-tube and found on my batty old pc the unabridged version(only semi-literally, for the second part of solo was not sung here:-))). Some time ago it was also available on treblemusic, but I don't see it any more.

So much so for the background. My ovation for the performance! :-))

Of all the Toelzer boys I've heard singing the solo in this piece, Stefan P. has to be my favorite. So clear and absolutely effortless. :)

Today first time I see this video here at YT. The recording was made in about 1998. I myself have the tv - broadcasting on vhs but in very bad quality only.

The representatives of the choir believe that only cds are wanted by the fans of the Toelzers. I think differently !

This does not really do full justice neither to the excellent Stefan P, nor to the choir, as it was recorded not in a concert hall but out in open air outside Schloss Moritzburg. - Same occasion as with "Der kühlen Maien" (also here on YTube) where Stefan is in soloist group with Hansel and Burkhart.

Both would have sounded e-v-e-n better INSIDE the castle hall...!
