In which Lewis continues to make his way through the Gridania starting zone.

An in-depth look at the SquareEnix's highly anticipated new MMO, as Lewis creates a fisherman and endeavours to play through the game. Since it's basically pointless playing multiplayer in this game, and since the game won't install (or probably even run) on Simon's computer, he watches through the footage afterwards, and the pair discuss their experiences.

  • @svnhddbst You've basically summarised FF for the past 7 or so years. Pretty indicative of JRPG's in general, but especially bad with Square Enix.

  • keep loading loading loading loading, comon, keep loading loading loading loading

  • @killijamaro oh you mean when lewis blatantly points it out? cheers mate

  • who noticed at 6:04 that should was spelt shuold.

  • whats worse then cliff hangers? having your video buffer at 1:21. WHY!?

  • @svnhddbst

LOL 300 MMOS? that would be all the mmos in service as of now my friend. you cannot be serious.

  • @Yuxqexaowq And in the process, forget about a little thing Western developers have uilized, called gameplay.

  • @Yuxqexaowq i have played literally over 300 mmo's (my life is gaming) and this is the only game(series) where story = cut scenes

every other game, for one reason or another(usually budget), uses game play and other variations that are nowhere near as heavy handed as cut scenes(which remove control from the character) and don't put them as the reward for hard work

the best games (vindictus and dragon nest) both have a short cut scene as motivation to further investigate the plot and that's it

  • @svnhddbst it's a square enix game, wait, nix that it's a japanese game, they prefer to focus on story instead of how much brown and muscle they can put on one character.

  • the game is so boring, who plays it anyways
