Bye Bye Volvo 940 Turbo

My friend scrapping his Volvo 940 2.3 Turbo donor car after the engine and wiring loom had been removed.

guarantee whatever was wrong with it could have been fixed pretty easily.. but stupid is as stupid does.

@22Angst No more than a few hundred pound would have seen it back on the road, but it was only bought mainly for it's engine, which now lives on in a much older and cooler Volvo so I fail to see how the 'stupid is as stupid does' comment is relevant? Personally, I see it as quite a smart move on my friends part, buy a Volvo for £200 that the seller was struggling to sell due to it not being roadworthy, remove the engine, wiring looms and ECU's......

@22Angst, ......then get the money back from scrapping the now redundant body shell and selling other engine from the other car. Plus various bits of the 940 were used on a further 3 cars to keep them running. Makes perfect sense, just a shame people are too dumb to realise.

ahhh wtf now volvos are brilliant cars a lil tlc and it wuda been gud as new those cars are strong in accidents like its a shame when ppl scrap good cars like that :/

@TheJmsmurphy187 It was a bit of a shame as it was solid, I think all it needed was a rear exhaust silencer, a windscreen and a n/s/r door 1/4 glass. No MOT when my mate bought it hence was very cheap which made it perfect for donating it's engine and a couple other bits.

Jezus christ stop crying everyone... It's a volvo, not your CHILD.... And if he wants to crush his car he just does, no need to hate him for that. In fact, I have 7 volvos at my house that will meet the crusher in about 1 week.
