Highlights: Penguins vs. Red Wings: Game 1 2008 Playoffs

Should I have bothered? I decided that since the Pens fans had showed class so far in winning I would show class in defeat and upload the game anyway.

We definitely had chances...a breakaway by Dupuis, hit the post, 4 powerplays in the first period. Regardless of the score, I think we can play with the Red Wings in game 2.

To be honest, I was surprised that first goal was disallowed. I could understand the Wings' frustration.

It was a close game after that for a long time, and then the Wings took over.

If we can win game 2 and split the series at Detriot, I like our chances at home. GO PENS GO!!!

I fail to see how the current economic difficulties in the city of Detroit pertain to NHL hockey.

That said, many Pittsburgh fans didn't quite question the connection. That is, I saw endless references to Detroit's economic problems. In attempts to disparage the Red Wings, Penguins fans made repeated quips about an economic situation that has thousands of families in Detroit struggling to make ends meet and to put food on the table.

Such crosses the line and has no place in sports discussion.
