  • I was wondering, I took my stone book and decided to try and do the patterns in it with my middle and index finger to try and build up a sort of left arm right arm style in my left hand. Is that crazy stupid or should I keep going with it? I know the question is kinda..stupid..

  • No it isn't it shows that you are thinking through the issue and that is cool. However the best way to develope this is just a stream of notes like I am demonstrating. Then after reaching your goal put rhythmic ideas to it.

    Good Luck!!!

  • Thank you sir.

  • Never thought about this, thank you!

*Running to my pad right now*

  • Very instructive videos! Thanks for explaining techniques so clearly. I'm sort of a "basement drummer" playing at home for fun. Very unorthodox left hand grip, etc. but I make it work. If you have a moment, could you comment on the few short clips I have on youtube under "Drummer Richard Gray"? I've been playing for years but just as a hobby. I feel I can always learn more (believe it or not I just recently heard about the "Moeller technique"). Been doing things the hard way all these years!
