  • Nurlan, official name of our country is Kyrgyz Republic or just Kyrgyz, but not ...stan which means islamic country. Kyrgyz is not an islamic country.

  • Thanks for the information. I thought istan means country in Turkish. For example the Turkish word for Hungary is Macaristan, for Greece Yunanistan. The everyday name for your country is Kyrgyzistan, the official name (Kyrgyz Republic) is hardly used.

  • Ez naggyon jó! Végre valaki magyar rajtam kívül okarinán! :) Nagyon ügyes! Milyen okarina ez, honnan származik? Nem ismerős.

  • Kössz! :) Ezt az okarinát kirgizisztánból szereztem (ebayen), lehet hogy nem a legjobb a hangja, de szeretem az egzotikus hangszereket. Ha rákeresel "chopo choor", akor találhatsz még róla videókat.

  • @Baatyr840 Yes, you're right. It's undesirable that my country is called with an animal's name "Turkey". We Oghuz Turks want that our country is called with the word "Oghuzyeri" and I wish everyone used "Kyrgyzjeri" instead of "Kyrgyzstan" We can't change some habits but everybody all over the world has to know that Turkic states and nations aren't Islamic.

  • @KutluAkBakshy Of course, I know semantic meaning or origin of the word "stan", but any way it is undesirable that someone calls Kyrgyzstan.

  • @Baatyr840 You made me laugh! "stan" means "land" or "country" in Persianic Languages such as Iranian, Tajik, Kurdish, Armenian. Armenians who are Christian call their own country "HaiaSTAN". So, there is nothing Islamic with "stan". This word is used as a loanword in a lot of language. In Turkish, we use "yer" and "yurt" for "land" and "country". And don't forget "meken" is an Arabic loanword which means "country" in Kyrgyz.

  • Very lovely melody!
