sounds like shit

@616Afonso If you use the preset of the dm8 yes you can, if you use SD2 no you can't there's some problems as I have stated previously.
-
And using the learn function in the mapping page of SD2 doesn't solve any of those issues either.
-
No matter which preset I use in SD 2, these problems are not solved, and you can't reassign the Midi notes of the crash, ride cymbal or hi-hat.
-
@danielschlep Yeah but there's a few problems.
Mine if I don't close the hi hat pedal completely but do almost close it fast, the hi hat pedal triggers my crash.
Also the edge of the ride cymbal when struck triggers the floor tom1 even if the crosstalk send and received are closed.
And the ride cymbal choke, when used, triggers the hit hat sound all of that when used in SD 2.
-
can u choke the ride and thoes it have the edge to do a crash sound on ride?

Hi!
It is the DM8 USB Kit. In fact the DM7 and the DM8 are based on different sound technologies.
The sounds of the DM8 are the same as the sounds of the DM10.
Does it work well with VST's like Superior Drummer 2.0?

@IamLiterallyRetarded
The Alesis drumkits are all able to be used as controllers for external sound libraries.

Awesome! Can you add extra drums to it? And is this a good step after your first electronic drumset? Thanks!

@mdognirvana
Hi! No, you can´t add more drums, this is a feature of the DM10 module. The DM8 module is the new smaller version, but with the same processing technology, all in all at an unbeatable price. And yes, in my opinion this is a very good choice for upgrading from abolute beginner sets, I was quite impressed @ Musikmesse 2011.
