I love old school too, and I believe Etta sings this particular song better, because it's in her soul. Beyonce' doesn't have the best voice in the world, but she does have a better 'voice' than Etta does (smoother, more range). Doesn't mean she can sing the same type of music though.

No Beyonce does a better job for her fans who follow her but Etta had much more conviction, emotion, and truth in this song.... like that $h!t just happened to her (well it did). Beyonce did well because she is commercial like that so she will appeal to the masses b/c of her fame and popularity, but Etta didnt need all the effects and synthesizing....
