Paul at the piano performing his rendition of a tune popularized by Duke Ellington entitled, "Caravan." The actual composer of this song was Juan Tizol (22 January 1900 23 April 1984). Mr, Tizol was a Puerto Rican trombonist and composer, and was also the composer of a very popular tune entitled "Perdido."

Recorded on 10/12/2006 in Lawrence, Kansas, near the KU Campus.

Paul Asaro is the 'IT' of many Idioms!!!!! Wow. THIS IS THE HOTTEST, MOST PLAYFUL AND JOYFUL piano version of this old standard I have ever heard!!!! My son Cameron will hear this and see what he is missing by JUST focusing on Classic Piano and reeds. LOL. I just forwarded this to my dear friend and Band Leader Mr. Jim Beatty, Oregon.
