Yes, cell phone interference goes down to DC, I've heard it on an LM386 hooked up to a speaker with a headphone plug not connected to anything and the phone a foot away. Speaking of cell phones, on my audio recording equipment I can record 10 pulses at 11 pulses per second on odd numbered minutes past the hour. I thought this was a bug in Audacity/noise in my laptop (I recorded these pulses in 2 different locations on battery power) until I heard it on my analog radio at 3.5 Mhz SSB, Is it cell?
I like the part about reduced part count.
