  • If your looking for a good RSI look for an old spec(pre facelift) model. the first version were underpowered at 120kw due to an ecu problem from the factory. toyota recalled these models and upgraded the ecu and airbox to make 141kw. check the inside of the airbox for a white butterfly piece which means the car was upgraded. Ive got a facelifted model which has the upgrades as stock. awesome car lotsa fun ;)

  • Damn. Thats one hell of a launch.

  • not bad for a 1.8 L NA engine

  • I remember the recall they had with the upgrade of the ECU. It is a pity they never launched another RSi in the Auris platform. Even the MR2 was a great car which is now no longer available. Hoping the FT-86 will make it here, that is sure to be a screamer.

  • I always wanted an RSi or even better the limited iedition TRD verison. They are hard to find in good condition second hand in SA so I settled for the corolla 160i GSX but it feels underpowered.

Thanks for as great video, I still want to drive one of these and feel the VVTi-L

  • gr8......the same engin is in the celica.....which is slightly lighter......i reckon that the jdm integra type r and the celica 2zzge are prob the best non turbo cars out there
