I Hope to Hear her at the Met on a Brdcst, they would do well to audition her. I would think if she sounds like this in the big house she will be a huge success at the Met.

@methuselus Well said. So many people on you tube hear one singer and get obsessed with one singer be it Callas or Pavarotti. They cheat themselves out of experiencing different voices and different interpretations and much of the music - nobody can sing everything. Most importantly, opera is meant to be experienced in the theaters, and operatic voices - unamplified. BTW - from what I've heard on you tube Rinat Shaham is the best Carmen today (although I do like Garanca whom I heard live).

My choir teacher said when she was younger,she was in an opera called Carmen.She played Carmen.So,I looked up the Opera.Oh my.

As a life-long fan of Callas, I still enjoy listening to other people's renditions of Habanera, but am often surprised, even saddened that those other performances are quickly dismissed as 'not being as good as Callas' - its about the song not the singer.
