As Tina said Dan was good looking! He was a huge talent. What a loss to the music world!! I really don't think there is another artist like him!

I remember when Dan came in with his brother Dave and purchased their first (and second, third, etc) musical gear from my dad Bill Wray who was the founder of Wray Music House in Lemoyne. Dave...it was nice talking to you today and thanks for sharing the memories of those early music years of you and your brother when you were in the Legends.

Dan Hartman was a phenomenal singer & songwriter. It's great to know he was friends with Neil Sedaka & Tina Turner! We miss you Dan! Keep on rockin' & hope you're enjoying & taking that "Free Ride" in Heaven!
R.I.P., Dan Hartman...1950-1994.

I regret I was but a child yet, when you left us, Dan - but we all miss your talents. (I can only assume it's you whose making 'Free Ride' play so often this last month!)

Much respect to Dan
He was the genius behind a lot of Edgar Winters songs that I really dug.
Now I might not have really been crazy 'bout "I Can Dream About You"
BUT I could recognize the same smart guys fingerprints on all those well written songs.
Hats off to a life well lived!

Awesome! What a talented person. I just learned a lot about him, that he was gay, sang lead and wrote on "Free Ride" among many others. RIP.
RIP Chuck Ruff.
