Lollapalooza kicked off in Chicago's Grant Park on August 6, 2010. The three-day music festival features a number of big name performers, including Lady Gaga, Green Day, Arcade Fire, The Black Keys and The Strokes. The big main stage headliner for Friday was expected to be Lady Gaga. The festival will close on Sunday, August 8, 2010, with performances by Arcade Fire and Soundgarden.

All total, this year's Lollapalooza festival features eight different performance stages. According to Chicago's WGN News, as many as 95,000 music fans are expected to attend Lollapalooza each day. For fans who can't make the festival this year, live webcasts are planned from 2pm to 10pm Central time on each show day via AOL Lifestream.

If you're heading to Lollapalooza, who should you see? With more than 100 artists in this year's lineup, you'll likely be forced to make some tough choices. ''Rolling Stone'' magazine is attempting to help, offering up a list of "Thirty Essential Sets" not to miss. Among them: the Drive-By Truckers, The Walkmen, Lady Gaga, The Strokes, Spoon, Phoenix, Erykah Badu, The National and MGMT.

Tickets for Lollapalooza 2010 are available on the festival's official website. Single-day tickets are $90. Regular 3-day passes are $215. A full schedule of this year's performances, including times and stages, is available on the official Lollapalooza website.
