Awesome dogs! I have a basset hound, too. I think sussex spaniels look so nice -- are they as well mannered as bassets?

When I was a kid, my big sister had a Sussex Spaniel called Barney.
My sister would get home from work at 5.10pm every week day.
At 5pm my mum had BBC Radio 4 on and the 'pips' would sound before the news (time signal from Greenwich) and Barney would proceed to sing at the top of his lungs until sis walked in the door.
Lovely memory.
