How do I afford over 1500 albums?
-
@brutalizerrr Maybe YOU can afford to give out your music for free, but the rest of us CAN'T. We need to make MONEY off of our work so we can afford to keep making it for people who enjoy it. That's hard to do when some asshole who is too goddamn lazy to save up the money STEALS it off the internet. Getting screwed for your paycheck at a construction site is no different than your music being illegally downloaded; no matter how you sugarcoat it, it's robbery.

@brutalizerrr I don't think that you know what you're talking about. Capitalism is of course an incredibly flawed system, however for it to come crashing down there will need to be some higher form of protest than you posting ill-informed comments on youtube and pointless "occupy" protest; ultimately you cannot complain about capitalism while using a computor, wearing nike shoes and drinking starbuck's coffee.

@06KingDave Capitalism is good??!! That shit is going down fool and you're going down with it. You think someone is allowed to wage wars all over the globe, kill presidents and overthrow governments in the name of fake democracy?! Believe me, America is going down and it's gonna be bloody. Roman empire lasted for 500 years and it came crushing down. Capitalism is next and everyone who defends that idea! Fuck European union and fuck America and capitalism! Fuck you all you ignorant degenerates!

@GodlessShredder No I wouldn't be pissed off! I was in the band for 7 years and we recorded EP and uploaded it for free download so people can hear our music and share it. I don't give a fuck who'll by my shit or not, I was making music for people, not for money. Metalheads are nothing but pussies, whining over a few bucks and their "hard" work. Fuck you all! Try to work on some construction site or warehouse and then get screwed for paycheck, then they'll know how hard is to earn money! Punks!

@NationofTheUnknown And when I say "Didn't Work Hard Enough" I mean for me personally the music didn't wow me enough to motivate me to buy the album. Just Personal Preference.

I'm with Peter Steele. People will always find a way to Download, but there's always an opposite side to everything, Some fans will download your music while others will want the Product. Honestly, I myself convert videos from youtube BUT I also buy the albums that impress me the most. Like The Cult, I will Never Bootleg The Cult unless it's live performances that are not released on CD. My Opinion, Some bands I believe deserve the money and some bands just didn't work hard enough.

@brutalizerrr Bullshit. If you can afford to pay 57 dollars a month for an internet connection, you can afford to spend 15 or 20 dollars every now and again for a damn CD. And even if you can't afford something, that doesn't give you the right to steal it. You'd be pissed off too if you spent several months recording an album just to have it pirated by someone who can't be bothered to give you enough money to continue making the music they claim to be a fan of.
-
@brutalizerrr Ohhh ok well lets just allow those people who cant afford to but things to steal them. You can argue about the unfairness of capitalism all day but ultimately if it weren't for that system you would have your nice computor post youtube comments from...
This point of view is selfish. It's easy for someone who have 1500 euros/dollars salary every month to by cd's. What about those people who can't find good job and have that amount of money every month? In this day and age people losing their jobs daily without opportunity to find another. So where's the money for original cd's? Are those people less worthy because they can't afford to buy originals? You can't eat cd's to stay alive. Metalheads do amaze me sometimes with their shallow thinking.

@brutalizerrr And it isn't selfish to basically rob the artist who makes the music so you can listen to it? Not buying and illegally downloading both give nothing to the musicians creating the music you love, but in one instance you still get the music. And saying you should pay for it is selfish? You're the ignorant one here.
