@Zongoloid Classy. I didnt say cancer was a bust. I said Shawn Respert was. Ask the GM that drafted him. If it was known he had serious issues like that he never should have been drafted. Instead of throwing vulgar insults at people over the net anonymously why dont you go brush up on what a bust is or isnt and get back to me. I was a huge Respert fan at Michigan State, feel bad he had cancer. Doesnt change the fact he was a bust and terrible pick that cost some GM his job

kobe bryant, dirk nowitzki, andrew bynum, kevin garnett, deshawn stevenson, and tyson chandler. that's only six. Josh Smith, J.R. Smith, Monte Ellis, Al Jefferson, Brandon Jennings, and Rashard Lewis are good players that came out of highschool.

isiah thomas's thomas plan is smarest thing I ever heard. Lot of young prep-to-pro players end up being busts simply because jump from High Shool to NBA is to great and because their body is simply not developed enough to endure chalanges of 82 game season. Think Tyson Chandler. He just recently started playing up to his potential, after 10 injury-ridled years in the league. Greg Oden might be another example.
It turned out Garnett didn't need that, but nice idea anyways.
