Excellent subject, I must buy this book as I find Julian's reign a very interesting time in history. Julian is almost like the template for the fall of the empire, reckless abandonment of the western empire in order to conquer the east as Alexander the Great did. I liked Julian's character from what I could gather from Gibbon's and Peter Heathers "A New History". Thank for writing this, next book I'll read!
