hi, so pedaled means it looks more like a motorcycle and your feet are on the outside of the bike instead of together? Thanks

Thank you

Question:
How far does it rides before it stops and you have to pedal start it again? I see a guy out in the country. Let's you want to take a 20mile ride somewhere. Is wise to use this kind of bike? How many time will it stop and one has to start by pedal start. I'm curious to know......

this isn't the only new moped made today. Tomos makes a nice bike

is it true that the cotters could be removed from the crankarms and the pedals removed and the 'moped' still be operational???
using electric start and the front foot pegs for foot rest???

Hello, I actually purchased a lazer 5 based on your review but I am very interested where I can find the manual shifting kit you mentioned, I contacted SSR but they had never heard of such a kit. Please contact me if possible about the kit.

Where do you get one of these?
As near as I can tell, J & J Motorsports of El Monte California designed the Lazer 5 to comply California's laws. I heard of the shift mechanism from them. But in California, if it has a manual shift, it's not a moped and would have to be registered as a scooter. Still, as an aftermarket add on, this subtle point would probably go unnoticed. My guess is that the shift mechanism was really intended for those who live outside of California.

In California you need a moped or M2 license to drive on the street. There is a lot of confusion about moped laws and even many policemen or not very clear. See link above about licenses.
