I understand conservation, but I also understand p.e.t.a. - people eating tasty animals. So if you complain about this big girl being harvested, be thankful she is being shared with multiple friends, families, stories etc. Her story will help others understand responsible fishing. Just remember to share the wealth when you decide to keep a big one!

I'd throw out everything in my big, stand-up freezer just to put all that Halibut in there. It would take a Swordfish to repeat the process

I have caught halibut all my life-one thing that is true is that the big ones dont taste nearly as good as the smaller ones, so why not let them go? A fish like this will produce thousands off offspring so why not harvest the smaller ones that are not yet sexually mature? I know its easier said than done but we all need to take some responsibility when it comes to conservation. There's a lot of videos on here of taking big fish but not many of letting them go. I'm just saying......
