God of War 2 - Speed Record (Part 1 of 9 - Start to Rhodes Palace)

Well Ive completed my speed run! I wanted to include all known (quickest skips). I think I included most of them, there are little things here and there I could have done better. Its by no means perfect, but considering this is the first time Ive ever attempted to do something like this, I think I did pretty well.

Conditions for this run are: Playstation 2, BP, Easy, God Armour, All magics/spells and urns.

From this video up until the "Path to The Steeds" savepoint is more of a sort of test run (so Im not as tidy as I would have liked at times). But just for the record (pun) I did beat the Previous Speedrun record (under these conditions) by 21 minutes (approx.).

Youll have to see the final vid to see my final recorded time since I didnt include times during each vid (looking back now I really should have). But you can check the clock everytime I switch PR on and off. Ill later add annotations to the vids to denote times.

Id like to give a special thank you to Shen (if he ever sees this) since I used his vids as a reference, he is an amazing speedrunning beast! And a big thank you to AKheon, GMG and the guys at TUGOWU for tips, support and inspiration.

~Im planning on beating this record again sometime this year, I think I can really trim it down (already coming up with Ideas). I would like to get it under an hour...

Notes:
1. At Colossus I - I hit Colossus with the rock a split second after making him keel over. Hence saving time by not having to watch the cutscene with him closing his eyes after he keels over.

2. At the Rhodes bath house ladder - I would have liked to have leaped straight from the water and to halfway up the ladder. Lost a few seconds of time.

3. Skipping Colossus foot skip - I was pleased how this came off, its not as easy as it looks to do this skip. Give it a try! (Note: Doing this skip in real time gives you are normal camera angle, normally you get a strange static/fixed camera angle.)

4. Fighting Colossus II - Pretty stock standard strategy here.

@findlestick By the way i tried the Three Judges skip half the game glitch and it works fantastic but I was wondering if there's any glitch that i can do in the giant scorpion section ????
