The way he transposes from Maqam to another is amazing,specially in this old Muwashah. I couldn't agree more with Sabah Fakhri when he describes Hammam as " the little Mudallal" referring to the late great singer Sabri Mudallal.

I think one should compare Hammam to peers from his generation rather than compare him with Sabah Fakhri and the rest of other great singers you mentioned.

well, if you don't like his style that doesn't make him falls under the "crap" category.

considering his young age and based on the fact that he was one of Sabri Mudallal's favorite students, Hammam made his way up to the top of shelf in a tough and competing environment.

وأيضا إضفاء الحركات الشخصية من قبل المطرب يعني أن يتقلب في السلم الموسيقي ضمن المقام نفسه وحتى الانتقال من مقام إلى آخر في نقس الموشح هذا يعني مهارة وأكيد لا يخفى ذلك عليكم ،

وهذه الطريقة أيضا محببة لأهل الطرب في حلب لمافيه من روح التحدي عندما يوجد أكثر من فنان يؤدون مع بعضهم وهذا ما عرف به أهل الطرب في حلب، وبما أننا أهل حلب فاترك الرأي لنا

يا أخي الكريم أحترم رأيك، ولكن الفنانين الحلبيين يضفون طريقتهم وأداءهم على الموشح كما هو معروف عندهم، وبما أنها لا تخل ولا تزيد على الموشح فهذا محبب لا بل بالعكس التفريدات المكررة تدل على براعة الفنان

guys i agree with whats being said here...but i dont think there is anything wrong with making the traditional songs a bit more contemporary or audience compatible in order to draw in the younger audiences....from there they can explore the teacher such as sabri and mohammad khayri on there own...but first they need to b introduced.

Je salut tous les commentaires cités ci dessus mais je croit que Sabah Fakhri est le meilleur chanteur de ce genre musical donc faut laisser la place au maître du Mouachah c'est bien Sabah Fakhri, et on remarque bien que chanteur essai d'imiter Sabah Fakhri!!! Ecouter ce passage de sabah Fakhri lorsqu'il avait 32 ans,صباح فخري موشح ملو الكاسات)) une voix magnifique et une très bonne maitrise des notes et un rythme impérial.
