Iraq war: state censorship (2) حرب العراق : رقابة الدولة

In the second Iraq war the regime was determined to show pictures of the US army in action. They contracted hundreds of journalists ("embedding") to follow units of the army and report back in the USA what the administration chose to show the public.

But they did not embed a single journalist inside the home of an Iraqi. So they had censored the images of war to show the sending side (the bombs and glory and patriotism of the US army in action), while being silent on the receiving end (the Iraqi deaths, destruction, and poverty caused).

Not seeing civilian casualties was a powerful tool used by the regime. Pictures of casualties never followed the pictures of the precision bombs.

Then AlJazeera entered the media scene. A new and growing Arab media channel based in Qatar, a US ally state, that showed the suffering uncensored.

The US administration and media was forced to start admitting that there were (at that time) over a hundred thousand civilian deaths.

The number today is much higher. Iraq has been destroyed by the US invasion, poverty is strife, sectarian violence rampant. There is no end in sight to the suffering of the Iraqi people.

لكنهم لم يتم تضمين اى صحفى داخل منزل عراقي. ولذلك كان للرقابة صور الحرب لإظهار جانب الارسال (القنابل والمجد والوطنية من قوات الجيش الامريكى فى العمل) ، في الوقت الذي سكت عن المتلقي (العراقي الوفيات والدمار والفقر)

لانك لا ترى وقوع اصابات بين المدنيين هو اداة قوية التي يستخدمها النظام. صور وقوع اصابات ابدا تتبع صورا من دقة القنابل

الجزيرة عندما دخلت الساحة الاعلاميه واظهرت للمعاناة غير مراقب..

و اضطر الادارة الامريكية وسائل الاعلام الى بدء ان نعترف بأن هناك ، في ذلك الوقت ، أكثر من مئة الف من الوفيات بين المدنيين

العراق قد دمر من قبل الغزو الامريكى ، لديه الكثير زيادة الفقر ، والعنف الطائفي المتفشي. وتواصل الولايات المتحدة التفجيرات في المناطق الحضريه. العراقيون كل يوم للاهانة والاذلال على أيدي الجنود. المساجد هي نسف للمتعة. إستخلاص بعض الصلبان الاسود داخلها. الاميركيون يمارسون الجنس في القطاع العام الى اهانة العراقيين. يتم تعليم الأطفال يقولون لعنة على العراق. وليس هناك في الافق نهاية لمعاناة الشعب العراقي. ولكن هذه الصور للرقابة الشديدة
